I urge you to think of Feng Shui as a metaphorical language. Much of the beauty of Feng Shui - and, I believe, the main reason it brings health, harmony and prosperity to those who follow its principles - comes from an intuitive understanding of the way nature enhances or blocks life-enhancing energy.

The Chinese have long worked with nature observing its power and living in harmony with the earth instead of trying to dominate this power. For generations they have felt the effects of sites that have an abundance of beneficial elements from the earth or sites devoid of energy. They also understand how these elements can change the feel of a place, both inside and out.
